News on Mike

Please keep Mike in your prayers!

On Sunday, September 22nd Mike burnt his right foot at a campfire picnic at the church.  Went to the ER as soon as we knew what happened.

The following day Mike had an appt. at his foot doctors and they redressed the wound and put him on antibotics.

Went back two weeks later to the foot doctors and Mike needed more antibotics for an infection in his foot.

On Monday, October 29th went to his foot doctor appt. were we went straight to the hospital for surgery the next day.  His foot doctor had already started the admisstions for Mike to to have surgery for a skin graft for his foot.

Tuesday, October 30th, Mike had surgery at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center where they took skin from his thigh and placed on his foot where he had burnt it.

Mike is not allowed to put any pressure on his foot.  Non weight bearing.  So he is mostly laying in bed.  He did go to two doctor's appts.  One being the foot doctor who said that the skin graft on his food was taking hold and growing, and that it was doing very well.  (Nov. 7th)

Mike goes back on Nov. 21st to his foot doctor.
